What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
The production company is responsible for the development and production of any new media and the distribution company is responsible for the promotion and marketing of the film and delivering it to the public. The marketing stage of the film release determines how successful the movie, so it is one of the most important areas of distribution. The number of people who are interested in watching the film will help produce a larger income of money.
The role of a distribution company is that it enables a broadcasted awareness of a movie, ensuring to market the film to the public in a successful way. Our distribution name is 'RJC' which we were inspired from the 'Pathe', 'Dream Works' and 'Universal Studios' companies. These three distribution companies had the text roll or spin onto the screen which we enjoyed the look of. So we incorporated the roll on text into our distribution company. 'Pathe' is a french distribution company founded in 1896, it had distributed the movie 'The Descent (2005)' which inspired us to do a demon-related horror OTS due to the odd and disturbing creatures in the movie. Along with 'Universal Studios' which distributed 'Insidious (2010)' which was based around paranormal activities which, furthermore, enhanced our interest in doing a paranormal horror OTS.

Below is our production company. Our production company includes stormy weather, lightning and sharp, bold text. The purpose of the stormy weather/lightning is that it can fully give to the audiences a clear idea of fear (as some people fear thunder and lightning). To add onto the stormy weather we included an audio of thunder noises. During the flashes of lightning we decided to add flashes of colour to the video as it enhanced the light effects. We also had the text fly in with a distinctive metallic noise to accompany the effect. In order to enhance the entrance (and possibly make the audience jump).
